Hanping Chinese Dictionary Pro/Lite 3.* Bug Report Thread

Hanping does not show up on the list of recent applications. I have two different devices running ICS 4.0.3 derived from CM9 and the behavior is the same on both. For the phone, the list is shown when holding down the Home button. For the tablet, the list is an icon on the bottom of the screen. In both cases, Hanping Chinese Pro (3.x) does not show up.

Are you launching hanping from the widget? If so, that could be the problem. Try launching from the app drawer or a shortcut. Hanping should then show up in the recents.

Yup, that was the cause. I'll stop using the widget.

I think it should also work if you use the top-left icon in the widget - please let me know.

I'd like to find a workaround so that the widget also works. The problem is, when you use the widget (clicking on the character), you are taken to the second screen. Therefore, if you later use the recents to go back to Hanping, it's not clear about whether you should be taken to the second screen or search screen. Either could be confusing depending on the circumstances. One way would be to be taken to the second screen but then Back would take you to the search screen. I will look into it.

I am using the top left button. I wouldn't care if it was when I viewed the assigned list entry.

Does not work. After having clicked the top-left button, Hanping does NOT show up in the list of recent apps. If I start the application directly (non-widget), it shows up in the list of recent apps.
