Unable to fetch billing details
I purchased the ABC English->Chinese dictionary and it was working fine, then I upgraded my ROM and now when I launch Hanping Chinese I get a pop-up box that says "Unable to fetch billing details" and I no longer can use the ABC dictionary. I had reloaded using Titanium Backup, so I thought that might be the problem, but I uninstalled and then installed from the Market and there was no change. I have a Chinese SIM.

Hi and sorry about these ongoing problems regarding Android Market in China. It's a headache for both developers and users!
When you upgrade your ROM, the app tries to revalidate the in-app purchases. Unfortunately, if you have a Chinese sim, then the revalidation does not work The Android Market does not allow it.
What happens when you try to refresh the in-app purchases in the About screen? You should get a message about your sim card. If not, then this is a bug.
The short answer is please try to do the sim swap to revalidate your purchases. If this does not work or you do not have an appropriate sim then please send an email to [email protected]

I'll try another SIM. What message should I have seen when I re-installed? I think that there was one about not being able to purchase the ABC Dictionary, but I don't remember one about usage problems.

The message should only appear if you attempt a manual refresh via the About screen - did you try that?

Using a Singapore SIM worked and so now it works with China SIM. Thanks.
