So sorry - I completely misread your post!

Here are the steps in full to tag a word:

1. Touch the desired word in the Search screen (this should bring up the word in the Browse screen)
2. Long-press on the star icon (this should bring up the Tags Dialog)
3. Check the boxes to the right of the tag names corresponding to which tags you wish to assign. If the tag does not yet exist then use the Create Tag button
4. Use the back button to go back to the Browse screen and again to go back to the Search screen, and again so you can click on the Starred Tab
5. Click on the Starred tab and browse the corresponding Tags lists where you should see the word you have just starred/tagged

Thank you. Now I can do it. Actually step 4 you have to click the back button three times, not twice.

You're very welcome.

You're right, in the above example it would normally be 3 Back button presses. However, it could be even more Back presses depending on what you do on the way to the Tags Dialog.
