UPDATE: This should be fixed in Hanping Chinese Dictionary Pro/Lite 4.*
We've received a couple of reports regarding this and it seems to only happen on a few devices. So far, all have been running Android 4.1 (the first Jelly Bean release)
When there is something already in the clipboard, you should be able to long press on the search box and then paste the text using the Paste button.
After the long-press, this Paste button usually appears for a few seconds. However, on some devices it disappears almost immediately after appearing.
The workaround for this is to enter some text (maybe a space) in the search box before long-pressing.
